POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - New students at Three Rivers Community College will have an opportunity to begin their collegiate journey at the college’s New Student Orientation scheduled for Friday, August 1.

Three Rivers’ New Student Orientation is planned to give new students the necessary information for a successful journey through college. Two sessions – at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. – will be held on August 1 in the Tinnin Fine Arts Center on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff. Students may attend either session.

According to TRCC Director of Academic Advising and Retention Gina Bubanovich, the New Student Orientation will equip new students with the necessary information they will need to begin college classes this fall.

“Studies show that students who attend orientation are more likely to feel comfortable in the college experience and are more likely to be successful students,” Bubanovich said. “New Student Orientation will help establish a strong foundation on which students may build their dreams into reality. College is a time to develop new skills and knowledge that will serve for a lifetime. New Student Orientation is where you begin.”
