POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. - Three Rivers Community College and Central Methodist University in Fayette have entered into a partnership to enable Southeast Missouri students to earn a bachelor's degree while remaining close to home.

The agreement establishing the partnership was signed earlier this spring and the new program will begin in August. The new program allows Three Rivers students who have earned a two-year associate's degree a seamless pathway into a bachelor's degree program from Central Methodist with CMU classes taught on the Three Rivers campus in Poplar Bluff.

"We are excited about this new partnership with Central Methodist University," said Three Rivers Interim President Joe Rozman. "This partnership is another way in which Three Rivers is working to provide Southeast Missouri residents with quality education opportunities. This new program will provide the opportunity for Three Rivers students to continue their education and it will also provide residents of our area the opportunity to complete a four-year college degree close to home."

CMU will initially offer bachelor's degree completion programs on the Three Rivers campus in Accounting, Nursing - RN to BSN, and Psychology. Additional programs will be added in the future. The CMU classes will begin Aug. 18 and will run for eight weeks with classes meeting on weekday evenings on the Three Rivers campus.
