Michelle Bundy is a young mother with two small children, Addy, 2 and Bentley 8 months living in Scott City. Shortly after the birth of Bentley, Michelle was diagnosed with Epitheloid Angiosarcoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her prognosis is not reassuring at this time, but her family remains hopeful. She is currently undergoing radiation and chemo-therapy. Friends and family have organized the Michelle Bundy 5K to raise funds to help at least lighten the financial burdens for Michelle and her young family. The 5K is this Saturday, April 2 at Capaha Park in Cape Girardeau. Same day registration starts at 7:15 and the race is at 8:00. She is currently undergoing her second round of chemo and radiation. Even with treatment her prognosis is not reassuring, but her friends and family are hopeful. Mission By raising money for Michelle and her family we are hoping to relieve a portion of the financial stress that severe medical bills can cause in order for her to spend better quality time with her friends and family during this extremely difficult time

Awards Prizes will be raffled off and awards will be given immediately following the race at Capaha Park. There will also be a "Roof-Top Celebration" after the race (12-3pm) held at Red Letter Communications on 231 North Main Street (rain plan-Lodo Martini Bar) for all the participants, sponsors, and volunteers. Entertainment will be provided by Mike Renick and food will be provided by Jim Riley, Buckner Brewing Co., and Port Cape!
