Southeast Missouri Food Bank would like to thank the National Association of Letter Carriers, Tom Bolen, NALC Stamp Out Hunger food drive coordinator for Cape and Jackson and the following communities who stepped up to help families in need this year - Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Poplar Bluff, Kennett, Malden, Sikeston, Fredericktown and Dexter. Together over 25,700 pounds of food was collected to benefit the participating communities. Food insecurity is a growing problem in Southeast Missouri and by donating food items, you have helped stock the pantries to serve children and their families over the summer months when it is needed most.
