I am a Fruitland native attending pharmacy school at SIUE. Part of our last year of school involves rounding at multiple sites for clinicals. For my current clinical rotation, I am at Chief Andrew Isaac Health Center in Fairbanks, AK. I am getting the incredible opportunity as a student to deliver COVID19 vaccines to remote villages of Alaska such as Chalkyitsik, Koyukuk, and Manley (to name a few). It is very humbling to see the way of life out here and to truly understand how thankful we should all be to have steady access to healthcare and the vaccine. This has defintely been a once in a lifetime opportunity for me, so I wanted to share with all of my friends at home.
