St. Louis, Baltimore, New Orleans , Durham and Memphis. These were cities in the U.S. in which Confederate monuments were removed in 2017, most in the dead of night.

In Memphis, it was even more tragic. A Shelby County , Tn, Commissioner formed a non-for-profit corporation, that bought the land from the City of Memphis for $1000.00 and then tore down the monuments to Jefferson Davis and General Nathan Bedford Forrest. In the case of Forrest, the monument also served as a grave marker for both he and his wife and if you the reader are financially minded and not concerned with grave desecration, the land sold in downtown Memphis was worth over $2,000,000.

If you have more of a legal mind, then maybe you are concerned with the fact that this sweetheart real estate deal was in direct violation of a Tennessee state law that protects veterans memorials.

Maybe youre thinking; Why should I care?

The Sons of Confederate Veterans is a Patriotic non-for-profit fraternal organization dedicated to defending and protecting the honor and good name of our Confederate ancestors.

The answer is simple, when they are done tearing down historical monuments in the large cities, they will begin their work in the smaller cities and towns across America and when they are done with Confederate monuments, they will turn their attention to U.S. veterans of all wars.

If you believe all veterans should be honored, The Stoddard Rangers Sons of Confederate Veterans Camp #2290, Dexter, Missouri is looking for men of good character to honor and defend our Confederate ancestors.

Now is a time for like-minded individuals to come together. There are strength in numbers.
