Charis Stewart, a graduate of Cape Girardeau Central High School, is a member of the 2010 East Central College volleyball Lady Falcons. She is a freshman middle hitter.

East Central has been ranked 20th in the most recent NJCAA Division II national poll.

Entering play Thursday, the Lady Falcons are 5-3 on the season. East Central defeated Des Moines Area Community College, then ranked No. 5 in the nation. The Lady Falcons also have beaten Shawnee Community College

The team went 3-0 in San Diego Sept. 3-4, beating San Diego City College, Mt. San Jacinto and Cuyamaca.

Losses have been to Parkland, currently ranked No. 1, Johnson County, currently ranked No. 2, and Cowley County, currently ranked No. 9. Against Parkland, East Central had a lead in games, 2-1, but couldn't finish with a win. East Central also took games from Johnson County and Cowley County.
