Once again a successful year! This year at the 91st State FFA Convention 37 students participated from the Jackson FFA Chapter.
The Poultry team earned a Group III rating and the team consisted of Macie McDaniel, Alaina Jackson, Leyton Simmers, and Trent Paullus.
The FFA Knowledge team placed 34th and earned a Group II rating. The team included Noah Jones, Katie Johnson, Cooper Childers, and Austin Stoverink.
In Division II Prepared Public Speaking Emily Peters earned a Group II rating.
The Conduct of Chapter Meetings team earned a Group II rating; the team included Cooper Childers, Conner Rodgers, Makenzie Daniel, Eve Monroe, Madison Gantt, Kaydan Biester, and Emilee Seabaugh.
The Dairy Cattle team placed 8th and earned a Group I rating; the team included Jesse Yount, Aaron Brown, Lane Bollinger, and Carson Childers. Jesse Yount (10th place), Aaron Brown (30th place) both received a Group I rating individually.
The Agricultural Mechanics team placed 6th earning a Group I rating the team consisted of Zach Aufdenberg, Caleb Aufdenberg, Parker Clements, and Zach Smith. Zach Aufdenberg (16th place) and Caleb Aufdenberg (26th place) both received a Group I rating individually.
The Agronomy team placed 52nd and received a Group III rating. The team included TJ Stovrink, Morgan Hiett, Hailey Yates, and Ethan Cossey.
The Horse Judging team placed 43rd and received a Group III rating. The team included Emily Peters, Deana Cook, and Kaylie Lappe. Emily Peters placed 30th and received a Group I rating individually.
The Forestry team placed 40th and received a Group III rating. The team included Cade Rodgers, Jenna Brady, Gracie Balance, and Dakota Ogle.
The Floriculture team placed 43rd and received a group II rating. The team included Lindsey Allen, Caitlin Allen, Cooper Emmons, and Libby Ezzell. Caitlin Allen placed 55th receiving a Group I rating individually.
The Jackson FFA advisors are James McCormack, Sara Green, and Shantel Cooper. This years state competing teams were trained by James McCormack, Shantel Cooper, and Joe Garvey.
A huge thank you goes out to all of our community supporters, we appreciate each and every one of you! Congratulations to all of the FFA members who participated on any contest team this year. Your hard work is a credit to each of you as individuals.
