Warm spring weather means snakes are coming out to bask in the sunlight. Remember to "Look Up" as black rat snakes often climb trees and even walls! They are nonvenomous and eat lots of rodents so they are a "good" snake;) This 5' snake was in about a 10' high tree with skinny branches above the Crooked Creek on our property...
