Southeast Missouri All District Band

On November 1, 2011 junior and senior high school band students from all over Southeast Missiouri came to the Jackson Senior High School to audition for a place in the Southeast Missouri All District Band. These kids came from as far away as Poplar Bluff, Perryville, Arcadia Valley, and Sikeston as well as all the local schools. The students who were selected then came back to JHS on Saturday, November 19 for an all day rehearsal of their concert music followed by an evening concert. When you take into account the first time these kids ever played together as a band was 10 hours prior to the concert, you realize this was an amazing feat of talent and hard work.
