Southeast Missouri State university Historic preservation /museum students are putting the finishing touches on the 70th Anniversary of the Sharecropper Demonstration.

Their design is a unique exhibit that you can walk through the design recreates the people, atmosphere, buildings, scenery and is completed with a video documentary of the event. Dr. Eric Clements and his students have been working at the Museum weekly over the last 4 months we are very proud of their work. stated Dr John Holcome, President of the museum.

Also featured is the winner of the recent Regional History Award Louis Houck Exhibit. Brooke Schearer is an 8th grader from Williamsville and will be present to give a brief introduction to the "creative winning exhibit.

Memorabilia of Louis Houck will be on display including many artifacts, tools and books to commemorate the 100th year anniversary of his book The History of Southeast Missouri.

Cape River Heritage Museum May 8th 5-pm 7pm Reception.

No charge to attend.
