Through the generosity of Proctor and Gamble Paper Products Company, Sushil Sobti, a Cape Central High School member of the class of 2012, is the recipient of a $2,500 scholarship toward tuition at Washington University, St. Louis. A scholar, musician and athlete, Sobti was also active in the community, supporting efforts of the United Way, Southeast Hospital and Boy Scouts. Sobti, son of Dr. Prem and Sonia Sobti, was not available for the photo. At CHS, he was a varsity swimmer and tennis player, member of Spanish Club, National Honor Society, Boy Scouts and FBLA. He participated in Scholar Bowl activities and played the alto saxophone. At Washington University, Sobti is majoring in Biomedical Engineering. The P & G Scholarship is administered by Cape Girardeau Public Schools Foundation.
