On May 15th, Small Town Boyz will be rocking in Kentucky, entertaining students in the Fulton County Kentucky School District. Being the rockers that they are, The Boyz will be rocking out songs from their upcoming album. However, this concert isn't just about the rock 'n roll. Small Town Boyz have been asked, by the district's faculty & staff, to serve as mentors to the students in the Kentucky school district. Topics of discussion include: encouraging the students to stay positive, to set goals for their futures, and of course, a message regarding the importance of staying in school.
As teens themselves, each member of Small Town Boyz seems to really enjoy reaching out to the students. During school concerts & mentoring sessions in the past, teachers have remarked that the students seem to pay closer attention to messages delivered from their peers. The messages may not be unique, but when they're delivered with rock 'n roll, they certainly hit a home run with the students and faculty!
