Candidate Calls on Senate Dems to Remove, Censure Majority Leader
Shame on Democrats for Defending Senator Reid's Racist Comments
Springfield, MO -- Progressive Party of Missouri candidate for US Senate, Midge Potts, released a statement on Wednesday expressing her outrage that Democrats across the board have rallied behind Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid after it was revealed earlier in the month that he made a statement saying, the country was ready to "embrace a black presidential candidate, especially one such as Obama -- a light-skinned African American with no Negro dialect, unless he wanted to have one".
"The fact that Democrat politicians are more interested in being politically correct than in honestly addressing racism within their own party is a good example of what is wrong with politics in America", Said Ms. Potts, "I believe that my Democrat opponent in the 2010 US Senate Race should take the moral high road. Robin Carnahan should publicly pledge to withhold her support of the Nevada Senator if she is elected by Missouri voters in November."
