Under the direction of Dr. Eric Clements, Professor of History at Southeast Missouri State University, graduate and undergraduate students are designing and installing exhibits on Cape Girardeau's history at the Cape River Heritage Museum, 538 Independence. The students have been busy all semester researching education, medicine, transportation, entertainment, and floods in Cape Girardeau. They will unveil their exhibits on Friday, May 4, from 5-7 pm during a dual event at the museum. At the same time, Jerry Ford will be on hand to sign copies of his new book Dreamers: Entertainers from Small Town to Big Time. Also on view will be Patti House's exhibit on the Civil War in Cape Girardeau. This will be a big night for the museum, and everyone is welcome to stop by, enjoy refreshments, meet the author, and have a first look at some excellent exhibits.
