C.W. Rushing Charitable Trust has donated $350 to the Noon Optimist Club of Jackson. Donna Rushing, daughter-in-law of the late Capt. Woody Rushing, presented the check to the Optimist Club to benefit their Childhood Cancer Campaign. Donna is the wife of Michael Rushing. She also belongs to the Noon Optimist Club and serves on the Optimist Childhood Cancer Committee. The trust was established by the family of Woody Rushing, who died in 1998 at the age of 84. In 1979 he and his son Michael founded Rushing Marine Corp. He maintained an active interest in the business until his death.
