On July 11th, the Cape Girardeau Roller Girls (CGRG) had their annual car wash fundraiser at Advanced Auto Parts in Cape Girardeau, MO.

From 10am until 1pm, the roller girls were out in the July heat washing anything on wheels. People brought in their grimiest, muddiest, and overall dirtiest cars to see if we were up for the challenge...and we were! We even drew some attention for being the only car wash with a helicopter parked out front. While people waited for their cars to be finished, they were able to take a closer look at the Air Evac Chopper and get their photos taken with it.

In addition to cleaning the cars out and about in Cape, the roller girls were selling their sweetest treats at our first bake sale. Thanks to everyone's kind donations, we were able to raise over $400 total for the day!

GGRG would like to thank everyone who came out to show their support. As a non-profit organization, it takes the support of our fans and the community as a whole to keep us going. Couldn't make it to the carwash? You can still support CGRG and a local charity (Humane Society of Southeast Missouri) by buying tickets to our next home game on July 25th (sponsored by Mississippi Mutts) at www.capegirardeaurollergirls.com or www.brownpapertickets.com/event/1850344!
