There is a young songwritter on country musics horizon that has ties to our city. Maurryn Bingham, a fiery haired fourteen year old and daughter of local artist John Bingham has been comfortably sitting in the number one and two spots on Reverbnations local charts for a period of months now. She began writting songs at the tender age of nine. Singing began even earlier at age six. Young Maurryn has already graced the stages at Disney, Opryland Gaylord Hotel, and Six Flags over St Louis. She also has been fortunate enough to have her own set at the Memphis Delta Fair Musi and Festival for a few years now. Most of the time she can be found practicing with her mentor RT Rinehart or online maintaining her music web pages on Facebook , Tweeter, and Reverb. When asked about her talent she points to her family, much of which reside here in Cape. " I have a lot of talent in my family. Summers spent in Cape have always been precious to me because of that." Maurryn will be staying in Cape this summer with her Aunt Deidre Ruebel and is looking foward to seeking out local open mic nights , " I'm hoping to get my aunt to sing a few with me while visiting Cape!" At just fourteen Maurryn is poised to release an ep very soon . Look this new sensation up on facebook and watch for her this summer !
