Pom Pom birds, like the ones volunteer Joan Anderson is putting together here, are just one fun craft for children to take part in at the Cape Girardeau Nature Center's Migratory Bird Day Saturday, May 2.
Live bird banding will begin at 7 a.m. and the World Bird Sanctuary will show live birds of prey and fly them at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. The whole day, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., will be packed with fun (and free) activities for all ages.
