Pi in math is equivalent to 3.14, so March 14 is considered Pi Day. At Guardian Angel in Oran, it is also known as Pie Day. Ms. Ann Whistler, our math teacher, had the 8th grade students to tell interesting facts about pi to all the students. Next, the students got to go through a line and pick out a piece of pie that they liked. This year we had several varieties of pie, from a frozen cookie pie to a baked apple pie to butterscotch and coconut cream pies. They were all delicious and no one went hungry. The pies, napkins, cups, plates, juice and forks were all brought in by the students in Ms. Ann's Grades 4-8 math classes. Everyone at school looks forward to Pi (Pie) Day each year. This was the 2nd annual Pi Day for Guardian Angel School.
