The Profiles in Excellence awards ceremony was held May 19 at Perry Park Center, where Perryville High School's Class of 2017 received more than $750,000 in scholarships, from local organizations and businesses, colleges and universities, and the A+ Program.

The Top 10 graduates at Perryville High School for the Class of 2017 were presented with medals and include Pohlman and Vernon, Madelynne Childers, Holly Clifton, Lydia Cook, Alison DeOliveira, Emma Derickson, Austin Hotop, Peyton Kontomook and Alexander Laws.

Students graduating Cum Laude (with honors) in the Class of 2017 were presented with honor cords and are Shane Bohnert, Austin Borden, Tyler Busch, Madelynne Childers, Lydia Cook, Alison DeOliveira, Emma Derickson, Rachel Fritsche, Lauren Gray, Dillon Hacker, Taylor Hoehn, Austin Hotop, Peyton Kontomook, Destiney Korando, Blake Krauss, Alexander Laws, Aaron Mueller, Joshua Robinson, Phoebe Pohlman, Skylar Schaupert, Sara Schmidt, Andy Truong, Bennett Turner, Zoe Vernon, Chaylee Vogt and Hannah Winschel.

The George Washington Carver Award was presented to those students who were in the Top 10 percent of the senior class. They are Tracy Baker, Madelynne Childers, Holly Clifton, Lydia Cook, Alison DeOliveira, Emma Derickson, Dillon Hacker, Taylor Hoehn, Austin Hotop, Peyton Kontomook, Destiney Korando, Blake Krauss, Alexander Laws, Phoebe Pohlman, Skylar Schaupert, Zoe Vernon and Hannah Winschel.
