Perryville High School's theater group, the Silver Daggers, will present Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" in March.
Performances are set at 7 pm Thursday-Saturday, March 22-24 in the Performing Arts Auditorium in the Old Senior High School. The public is encouraged to attend the show; ticket sales pay for the Silver Dagger performances and activities. Tickets are $4 and will be available at the door.
"A Midsummer Night's Dream" portrays the events surrounding the marriage of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta. It chronicles the adventures of four young Athenian lovers and a group of amateur actors, who are manipulated by the fairies who inhabit the forest in which most of the play is set. It is one of Shakespeare's most popular plays.
