In early November, at Jackson High School, approximately 400 of Southeast Missouri's finest high school and middle school musicians gathered to compete for positions in the Southeast Missouri All- District High School Band and All-District Middle School Band.

This year eight student from Perryville High School were selected to the Band.

High school members are (from left): Kelsey Bert (7th chair clarinet); Gabriel Lockhart (13th chair clarinet); Kat Boyer (2nd chair tenor sax); Terry David (1st chair contra alto clarinet); Katie Winkler (8th chair flute); Dylan Callier (1st chair snare drum); Kimbra Parad (honorable mention band 5th position French horn); Josh Scherer (6th chair trumpet).

The students traveled to Sikeston High School to rehearse with the All- District Band. The concert was held in the Sikeston Field House. The Middle School All-District Band was under the direction of Herman Byrd and the High School All-District Band was under the direction of Barry Bernhardt.
