Following the presentation, students were invited to attend a college fair which featured colleges from around the state as well as some from Illinois. The students were allowed to roam the stadium and see the pre-game preparations that are done both on the field and in the concession stands.

During batting practice, numerous students caught or were given a ball. Mr. Craig Hayden, assistant principal of Perryville High School, even caught one with his bare hand out in the outfield during batting practice. Several students were able to get autographs from Cardinal players. The day ended with a 5-2 loss to the Florida Marlins.
