Eight Perry County Middle School 7th and 8th grade students competed in the MCTM (Missouri Council Teachers of Math) Math Contest at St. Vincent de Paul School in Cape Girardeau on Saturday, April 2, 2011. Taking 2nd place on the 7th grade test was Mollie Kluender, which now qualifies her to compete in the state contest. Also placing on the 7th grade test was Emma Nelson, who took 5th place. In the 7/8th grade Algebra test, Matthew Qualls took 4th place. The team of Mollie Kluender, Emma Nelson, Mikaela Johnson and Matthew Qualls placed 4th out of 12 teams in the team competition.
