Lexi New, freshman at Southeast Missouri State University, was recently inducted into Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society. Phi Eta Sigma is a national scholastic honor society for first-year college students. There are over 365 chapters throughout the United States with more than 975,000 inducted members.
New is ranked in top of her class at SEMO. She received a certificate and key from Dr. Ken Dobbins during the ceremony. She currently has a 4.0 GPA and is a bio-medical major.
New is also a member of the service sorority Gamma Sigma Sigma, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and was named Resident Life Resident of the Month in January. She is also involved in numerous volunteerism efforts as well as therapy dog training and events.
