National Guard hosts blood drive

Sgt. Heather Weimer of Jackson donates blood at the Cape Girardeau armory on July 17. The Missouri National Guard and the American Red Cross sponsored the second annual blood drive at the armory and will do so again next year. Many of the donors were National Guard Citizen-Soldiers, though several civilians also stopped by the armory to donate.
