The International Association of Administrative Professionals, Missouri Division Leadership Workshop was held at the Days Inn Conference Center in Columbia, Missouri on August 13. This workshop is held annually to prepare the newly elected officers of each Missouri chapter for their positions. Eight members of the Girardot Chapter attended the workshop: Doris Dumey, CPS/CAP, President; Debbie McKee, CPS, Vice President; Leslie Watkins, CPS, Recording Secretary; Chris Waite, CPS/CAP, Treasurer; Marge Phillips, CPS/CAP; Sandy Ortiz, CPS; Barbara Ostrenga, CPS/CAP; and Rhonda Zeilinger, CPS/CAP.
The presenters were: KCMO Chief of Training, Battalion Chief Tommy Walker and MO Assistant State Fire Marshal Kim Becker - "Be the Leader People Want to Follow Even Into a Fire!"; Liz Webb, CPS/CAP -- "Tying the Chapter & Office Together-Succession Planning at its Best"; Susan Fenner, Ph.D. -- "Market Like a Pro"; Toni Smith, CPS/CAP -- "Member + Chapter of Excellence = Division of Excellence."
