On October 26 at the Drury Lodge in Cape Girardeau the Girardot Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) hosted a seminar featuring Marlene Chism. She presented "Stop Workplace Drama" at the morning session and "Communication Skills for Managing Change and Navigating Through Negativity" at the afternoon session. She led us through the eight principles of stopping the "drama" and then gave us the skills to deal with the "drama" through the Labor Principles. There were several interactive sessions so that we could practice these principles. It was a great learning experience and she provided us with the tools that we would need to know in order to have better relationships at work and at home.
There were 50 in attendance from several cities in the area. We had many opportunities to network during the breaks and lunch, which was catered by Tractor's.
