March 8th this year marks a significant anniversary: It is the 100th anniversary of International Women's Day! It also marks the achievements of many women, and the efforts, struggles and sacrifices that have brought us so far in this 100 years. As a part of Zonta International, the Zonta Club of Cape Girardeau seeks to advance the status of women worldwide and has made great strides helping women economically, educationally, and professionally. We continue to support projects to reduce violence against women and to promote change in areas where discrimination and inequalities still exist. With the generosity of our members and you, our community, we support projects that have been powerful advocates for change both locally and internationally. Thank you for your support, as we still have much left to do to help women. We look forward to the time when our mission is completed.
