Sikeston, Mo July 20, 2018- The General Manager and a Design Team presenter of the area Great Clips salons, recently awarded a $500 scholarship to Sydney Davis, a student at J. Larae' Cosmetology school.

Sydney Davis of Gosnell, Arkansas and thousands of other cosmetology students across North America applied for the 2018 Great Scholarship. to be eligible, cosmetology students submitted their responses to questions related to their strengths, attributes, and career goals in the cosmetology industry.

Great Clips General Manager, Jaime Wood and Design Team Presenter/Salon Manager, Hollie Welter, presented the award on behalf of Great Clips salons in the Paducah, Ky./Cape Girardeau, Mo./Harrisburg, Il. area. "we had dozens of applicants for this scholarship in our area this year. It was a really hard choice to only be able to pick one winner out of all the excellent responses to the questions.", said Jaime Wood.

The Great Scholarship program awards $100,000 each year to cosmetology students throughout North America, with individual awards ranging from $250 to $1,500. This is just one way Great Clips connects with cosmetology students to provide an opportunity to jump-start their career.
