Local guitarist Michael "Peace" Stewart gets major endorsement with Texas based pickup company.
On the heels of Drivin Rain's new recording deal with Retrospect Records, the band unrolls the first part of its new equipment ad campaign.
The band announced today that Drivin Rain's guitarist Micheal "Peace" Stewart has received an official endorsement from Texas based Monster Tone Pickups.
The company manufactures high quality guitar pickups that are available in neon colors. Michael Stewart says "The pickups have cutting edge tone, and a warmth that is out of this world." The company as granted few endorsements at this time, but along with Michael Stewart, other hot new guitarist like, Rick Drago, Jakki Blayze, Ronny North, and Eric Stadler, endorse Monster Tone Pickups.
The endorsement includes free product for Stewart, while in return Monster Tone Pickups can use his image, name and band affiliation in it's worldwide ad campaign. Showing Stewart playing guitars with their pickup in them for posters, and print ads. The result could lead young inspired guitarist to purchase these for their own guitars, in a attempt to imitate Stewart's tone.
Michael Stewart owns a large collection of guitars. He has recorded with national acts, toured the country, and preformed at some of the nations largest music festivals. He currently lives in Cape Girardeau and is a member of the legendary Cape band Drivin Rain. Stewart and Drivin Rain plan to release three new albums in 2009.
