Local Ad Club to Feature Pixar Art Director at May Program

Magen Farrer, Technical Art Director for Disney Pixar, will be the guest speaker at Tri-State Advertising & Marketing Professional's May meeting on Tuesday, May 27, at 11:30 am at Port Cape Girardeau in downtown Cape Girardeau. The presentation, "Marketing Pixar movies," will demonstrate what strategies Pixar uses to market their movies to consumers. This month's program is sponsored by The Wright Group.

Farrer's job consists of lighting, animating and digitally painting models for toy production and marketing campaigns. You may not realize that you already own some of her work; toys, greeting cards, t-shirts and books from "Cars," "Toy Story," "Wall-e," "Up" and others. Besides the exciting new projects she's working on at Pixar, she's also working on some of her own independent writing and film projects.
