Local 4-Hers Attend State Trap Contest

Three Cape Girardeau County 4-Hers attended the State Trap Contest on August 16th at Linn Creek, MO. The youth participated in single and double trap and had to shoot 50-100 clay targets. Clint Heuer placed 9th out of 45 in Senior Doubles and Gary Schweer placed 11th out of 20 in Junior Doubles. The next State Competition in on Sept. 20th in Columbia. Cape County will have 4-H members competing in Archery, Air Rifle, .22 Rifle and Shotgun. For more information about joining 4-H or the Shooting Sports Program, call the Extension Office at 243-3581.
