Just recently LenCrafters in Cape Girardeau hosted OneDay on December 1, 2009. OneDay is a day designated to assist children that are less fortunate with free eye exam and glassess. Thanks to the partnership of Jefferson and Franklin Elementary school nurses, we were able to make this event possible; with there partnership we were able to help a select number of elementary children with this community service. Both school nurses took time out of there busy days to help children see more clearly. I would also like to thank Kaci's Kookies for making each child's experience at LensCrafters a little sweeter, by providing sugar cookies for this event.

Last but not least, I would like to thank LensCrafters and the associates for donating their time on Oneday. I especially want to thank Dr. David Bleise for donating his services for such a wonderful cause. During this time of year it is so easy to loose sight of what christmas is all about with all the hustle and bustle that goes on during this holiday. Seeing the faces of the children put what giving really means into perspective, it's not about new toys or clothes, it's about giving to those who need it the most; the necessities of life that sometimes get overlooked in todays economy. With everyone's help we were able to help several children see a little brighter this Christmas. Thanks again to everyone, and to LensCrafters OneSight program, which I am very thankful to be apart of.
