The Scott County R-IV (Kelly) School District is pleased to announce its continued partnership with the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation in the fight against breast cancer. Kelly Schools is raising funds for Dig For Life, which provides free mammograms to women in Southeast Missouri. One in seven women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, and early detection is critical in successful treatment. Each grade K-12 is currently participating in a coin challenge contest for two weeks. The three grades that raise the most funds will receive frozen yogurt treats courtesy of Simply Swirled in Sikeston. In addition, Kelly Cheerleaders have sold over four hundred "I Can Fight Cancer" pink shirts. The schools efforts will culminate with a "Pink Out" night at the October 9 Varsity Football game. Commemorative balloons will be released on behalf of all those whose lives have been effected by breast cancer. The students and staff in the Scott County R-IV (Kelly) School District are honored to serve our community and work with the Saint Francis Medical Center Foundation.
