I have served on the Scott County R-IV (Kelly) School Board for the past 9 years and would love to continue serving our District. I have also served on several committees as a member of our School Board and am always willing to serve our students and faculty whenever needed

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I believe that my experience as a present School Board member of the Kelly School District makes me very valuable to our District. My time on the School Board have been some of the most rewarding times. I also feel that my occupation in the Finance Area for over 30 years makes me an invaluable asset to help in all of the financial decisions that our District will face.

What do you see as the opportunities and challenges in the district?

We have many opportunities that our District has benefited from. In my time as a Board member, we have added many academic opportunities, many fine arts choices, and also several athletic options for our students to participate in. The biggest obstacle we have facing our District is the educational funding from the state. My financial expertise and experience on the Board will make me an asset to our District.

How will you communicate your work to your constituents?

I am always open to any communication from our parents, faculty and voters in the area-phone call, text messages or emails are always welcome. I will work hard to help answer and resolve any concerns that I can. My focus is always our students and I pride myself in working hard to help and protect our students' best interests!

What are the factors on which you will base your decisions as a school board member?

The factors that all of my decisions have been based on and will continue to be based on are always the students of our Kelly District. The academic success of our students is the utmost important thing for me. All 3 of my children have participated in the athletic programs at Kelly and I have always felt that many things are taught through being involved in team sports and I will always support all athletics.
