The grandparent raising grandchildren support group meets monthly at the MU Extension Center in Jackson. Each month an educational program is presented followed by sharing time and refreshments. Babysitting is available upon request. This month the support group's theme was recycling and the group made flowers from plastic bottles. Teresa Meier, MU Extension, is shown in the picture showing the support group members how to cut the plastic and add the decorations. Research has shown that support groups are an effective way to help others when they have a challenge or a problem in their lives. Please call the MU Extension Office at (573) 243-3581 for times and place of the next support group meeting. All are invited to attend.
