Jackson School Board

Do you currently hold the office for which you are running? No

What makes you the most qualified candidate for this position?

I am a parent who takes an active role in my children's education. I have a BS in Business Administration and I want to take more than a by-stander's role in the education of our future leaders. The future is very bright for Jackson R2 and I am excited to have the opportunity to possibly participate in what is to come for our district.

What do you believe is the greatest challenge facing your school district?

Class size is the number 1 challenge at this time. We need to find ways to reduce our class sizes so that our great teachers can have the opportunity to provide a more focused learning experience for the students. With smaller class sizes our teachers will be able to give the students who need extra help that attention while also being able to challenge those who are further ahead.

If elected, do you have any plans for improving the school district?

A board member's role is really not meant to direct any one or more particular plans or agendas, their role is primarily focused on being the publics ears, eyes, and voice to the district. I hope to be able to do just that, I hope to be able to bring ideas, concerns, and wishes from the public to the district when needed in a common sense manner.
