JACKSON STUDENT IN CHILDREN'S PLAY AT MSSU IN JOPLIN
JOPLIN, MO (SNS) - The re-telling of a classic holiday tale for children, offered on the weekend, is the next offering by the Theatre Department at Missouri Southern State University.
T'was the Night Before Christmas by Clement Moore, adapted by Katy Realista, will be presented at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 4-5 at Taylor Performing Arts Center on the MSSU campus.
The play is directed by Lyndall Burrow.
The part of character "Lizzie Moore" will be played by Amber Julian, a sophomore Theatre major from Jackson, Mo.
In this old story with a new twist, we find that it was not necessarily Clement Moore that saw the events of his famous Christmas tale. It was actually seen through the eyes of "Milly the Mouse."
Tickets cost $1 for adults and 50 cents for children age 12 and under. The Box Office opens on Nov. 30.
Reservations can be made as of that date by calling (417) 625-3190. Box Office hours are 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
For theatre production information or requests for accommodations related to a disability call Terri Spencer at (417) 625-9393. Those making such requests should call at least 72 hours before the performance.
