The Military Order of the Devil Dogs is the honor society of the Marine Corps League. This past week, Cape Girardeau native and Jackson resident, Leonard Spicer, was elected to the highest position of the Devil Dogs for the nation. Spicer joined the Marines after during his senior year at Cape Central High school. He served as a Marine from 1976-1983. Spicer has been a member of the Cpl. Mason O. Yarbrough Det. 1081 Marine Corps League since 2001. He is active in the League’s affairs including Toys for Tots, Funeral Honors Team, Color Guard Team, and preserving the customs and traditions of the United States Marine Corps. Congratulations Chief Devil Dog Spicer.
