The Missouri FBLA primary state service project is to work to raise money and awareness for March of Dimes. This year, Jackson FBLA passed the baby bottle to raise funds during National FBLA Week. Fundraiser efforts began with passing the bottle at the District 15 FBLA conference on Monday and continued throughout the week. An educational flyer was developed and posted in the business hallway. And, Thursday, FBLA members were encouraged to wear purple in support of March of Dimes.
The Jackson FBLA chapter raised $134 for the cause. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. The March of Dimes provides mothers, pregnant women and women of childbearing age with educational resources on baby health, pregnancy, preconception and new motherhood, as well as supplying information and support to families affected by prematurity, birth defects, or other infant health problems.
