A total of 49 members competed in the District 15 Future Business Leaders of America Leadership Conference on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University on Thursday, February 10, 2022.
Kali Letner, Senior and current Jackson FBLA President, completed her term of office as District Vice President. Mariena Collins, current Jackson FBLA Treasurer, completed her term of office as District Secretary. In this capacity, both members spoke at the Opening and Closing Session, helped facilitate the 2022-23 Election, and presented at the Awards of Excellence ceremony. Ben Gabriel, Jackson FBLA member, also hosted a leadership workshop on time management.
In the 2022-23 election, two Jackson members won campaigns for office. Collins will return to the leadership team as District 15 Vice President for Membership and Gabriel will serve as District 15 Secretary.
Jackson FBLA placed first in 14 events and second in 10 events with a total of 49 finishes in the top 5 in the district. The Jackson chapter was well-represented at the awards ceremony with 29 students earning the honor of advancing to the State Leadership Conference to compete in April.
