The Jackson Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America hosted its annual 6th grade career fair at the Jackson Middle School on Friday January 19, 2018. The chairpersons for the event were Bailey Huff, and Emily Scott. Thirty-eight other FBLA members worked that day to help make the event a success. Sixteen businesses in the community partnered with both FBLA and the Jackson School District to share their occupations with over four hundred sixth grade students from Jackson Middle School, St. Paul Lutheran School, Immaculate Conception Catholic School, and Nell Holcomb R-IV School. Each exhibit gave 5 minute presentations to the students enhancing the students� learning and career opportunities. Jackson FBLA would like to thank the following businesses that participated in this event: InFocus Photography, T. Wayne Lewis DDS, Elite Travel, Jackson Tire Center, Army Recruitment, Cape Girardeau Honda, Skyview Animal Clinic, Jackson Police Department, Kramer Plumbing Septic and Sewer, Inc., SE Health College of Nursing and Health Sciences, FedEx, Missouri Department of Conservation, Jackson Fire Department, Reverb Student Ministries, Jackson R-II School District, and American Family Insurance. A special thank you to Elite Travel for providing 500 bags.
