Get the family together for a fun, educational and delicious Sunday out! The Jackson Heritage Association is announcing an ice cream social, to be held on Sunday, September 13, from 1:00 pm to 3:30 pm at the Oliver House in Jackson.
Refreshments, including cookies and ice cream, will be provided. Take a tour of the beautiful Oliver House, a Jackson historical landmark. Young and old will delight in the Victorian period furnishings and the chance to experience history.
At 1:30 pm, Dr. Frank Nickell, host of the popular KRCU program "Almost Yesterday," will be giving a talk about Missouri History. Don't miss your chance to hear this award-winning speaker.
The Ice Cream Social is free and open to the public. The Oliver House is located at 224 East Adams Street.
