Holcim (US) Inc. Inaugural Event

A tremendous economic development event occurred in Ste. Genevieve County today, with the Inaugural Event of Holcim (US)Inc. The Southeast Missouri Regional Planning Commission has worked with the County for the past nine years on this project and it was an honor to be present for the inaugural event of the world's largest single kiln cement operation. The construction of the cement operation cost over one billion dollars and was privately financed by Holcim. The plant has been under construction since 2006, which created some 2000 construction jobs in the county. Today's event culminates the largest private business development ever in Southeast Misssouri. Congratulations Holcim and Ste. Genevieve County.
