To be clear about one important point, our plant was funded entirely By Holcim -- not by the American Reinvestment and Recovery Act, also known as the stimulus bill. In fact, our plant's permitting efforts began more than ten years ago. Many members of the community, elected officials and others, played key roles in allowing us to make this economic commitment.

We were fortunate to have many of those people present at Friday's ceremony. Their contributions were essential in making this project and the resulting economic development a reality for Missouri.
