First Student transports approximately 1,775 students daily on 24 bus routes throughout the Cape Girardeau Public School District. The buses travel about 720 miles daily. The company works under contract for the District and employs approximately 30 drivers and workers. Ms. Bowers has been with First Student for more than five years.
