Cape Girardeau, MO -- Christopher Reis, DO, has joined the Brain & NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri as a pain management physician. Dr. Reis received his Master's Degree in Molecular, Cellular and Systemic Physiology from Southern Illinois University. He graduated as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL.
Dr. Reis completed an interventional pain medicine fellowship, a residency and an internship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL. He is a member of the American Pain Society, American Society of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine, Midwest Pain Society, American Society of Anesthesiology, American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
At the Brain & NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri, Dr. Reis joins Terry L. Cleaver, MD, pain management specialist, in the management and treatment of patients suffering from chronic pain. Their ultimate goal is to help patients determine the root cause of pain and develop a multi-faceted care plan to address it, with services that include spinal cord stimulation, various types of injections and treatment for peripheral nerve conditions.
"The existing need for expert pain management care in this region was the catalyst behind the addition of another pain management specialist to work with primary care physicians and patients in the treatment of chronic pain," said Dr. Terry Cleaver. "We are pleased to have someone of Dr. Reis' caliber at Brain & NeuroSpine Clinic of Missouri to augment the patient-centered, quality services we currently provide."
