The 2011 Practical Nursing Graduates from the Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center attained a 100% pass rate on the National Council Licensure Examination for Practical Nurses (NCLEX-PN), which allows them to provide nursing care as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs).
This is the third-straight year that the Cape Girardeau Career & Technology Center -- School of Practical Nursing has scored a 100% pass rate on the NCLEX-PN. This course of study has been a part of the Cape Girardeau Public School System for the past 38 years.
There have been 782 graduates with an overall pass rate of 98.3% on the NCLEX-PN. Nurses educated by this program provide nursing care in a variety of health care settings in the region.
